What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Healing for Kids

What personal data I collect,  why, and for how long

Contact form

Healing for Kids collect the information a person completes the contact form on the website, in order to contact them and respond to their query. The information is held for a maximum of 6 months for customer service purposes, the information submitted through them is stored securely, and not shared with anyone or used for marketing purposes.

Mailing list

I require a user’s consent to subscribe to the mailing list.  I collect information on the person’s name and email address, this data is stored securely and not shared with anyone. You can expect to hear from me on a weekly basis at the most. These emails will include details of upcoming services, classes and Events. You can unsubscribe at any time in the future.


I require the consent of anyone renting the venue, to share their information.  I collect contact and booking information from partners who run classes and events at the venue, as well as information about their business.

Who i share your data with

This information is shared on the site so that customers can find out about their service and book with ease. This information is kept and shared for as long as the person rents the Healing for kids space. It is then destroyed securely within a maximum of 6 months.

Booking Information form

I require consent from customers in completing this information.  I collect information about customers in order to provide the best service to meet their individual needs. This includes their phone number, email address, and relevant health and medical information. This information is kept for as long as is required- while the clients are using the service. The information is stored securely and not shared with anyone, it will be destroyed securely within 6 months of their ceasing to use the service.

Facebook and blog comments

Comments made on the blog will become public as they are visible on the web site. Likewise, for comments made via Facebook, as the Healing for Kids Facebook  page is linked to the web site.

Accounting records

In order to comply with HMRC, I keep a record of all customer purchase records for a maximum of ten years.

Your rights

You have the following rights in respect of your personal data

A right of access to a copy of the information comprised in your personal data, a right to object to processing that is likely to cause or is causing damage or distress, a right to prevent processing for direct marketing, a right to object to decisions being taken by automated means, a right in certain circumstances to have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed, and a right to claim compensation for damages caused by a breach of the Act.
